Man-claiming-himself-Prophet
VIHARI, Punjab: Pakistan’s law enforcement agency on Thursday arrested a man claiming himself ‘Prophet’ in Vihari, a district located in Punjab province.
Police officials have detained a man allegedly calling himself a Prophet, which considers as blasphemous act amongst Muslim, and registered First Investigation Report (FIR) in City police station.
The man reportedly named as Ghulam Akbar who claimed for being a Prophet during a public gathering held in Mailsi Tehsil of Vihari district, Express News reported.
Akbar’s statement was visually recorded by the attendants of the public gathering, which would be provided to court as evidences, reports revealed.
Local citizens presented the visual recording of Akbar’s controversial statement before a committee comprising of local clerics, which unanimously announced decision to file case against the ‘culprit’ under blasphemous act.
The case was filed by the police department after legal complaint of local citizen under Pakistan’s Punishment Act 295-CK over allegations of debatable statement for ‘distorting Holy Quran, Prophecy, Revelation, Adhaan, Prophecy and Mecca’.
It is noteworthy to mention here that the capital punishment under Act 295-CK is death penalty over blasphemous move against Prophecy.
