Journalist Talat Hussain robbed


Islamabad- Senior journalist Syed Talat Hussain was robbed today.
Hussain informed via twitter that  an “armed dacoity and car-jacking” took place at his house today via his official Twitter account. He tweeted, “Armed dacoity and car-jacking at my place, car broken.” Hussain was not at his place at the time of robbery and no harm has been done to his family as he messaged on Twitter, “Wife, children safe. I was teaching at Bahria at that time.” He also complaint of bad traffic situation in the capital city and accused a private company for digging up the whole metropolis. “I still haven’t reached home. Thanks to Sharif construction company. The whole city is dug up. What a mess,” he said via Twitter. The security conditions of Pakistan are not at all satisfactory. Nobody is safe in the country. United Nations (UN) has recently declared Pakistan as the most dangerous country for journalists.
As per UN reports, over 2000 journalists were attacked physically and received threats in 2013. While 71 journalists were killed and 826 were sent to prison last year.

Saudi Arabia Sentences Men to 2,000 Lashes for Dancing and Celebrating Valentine's Day



Saudi Arabia has sentenced five men to thousands of lashes to be carried out in public over the course of prison sentences because they were caught dancing with women during an alcohol-fuelled Valentine's Day party.
Two defendants were sentenced to 10 years in prison and 2,000 lashes to be given in 20 parts in front of Al Nafoora market, the Okaz daily reported, while two other defendants were handed seven years in prison and 1,500 public lashes, each over 15 parts.
Another defendant was sentenced to five years in jail and 1,000 public lashes.
Earlier this year, Saudi's Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice - known as the religious police - banned Valentine's Day as part of a strictly imposed code of Sharia law.
The men were arrested alongside six women in a house they had rented for recreational purposes in the city of Burayda, in the capital of Al Qassim region in north central Saudi Arabia. Smuggled bottles of alcohol were seized during the raid, the court in Burayda heard.
Members from the commission also found red roses, candles and heart-shaped items during the raid in February.
They admitted to charges of dancing, illicit relations with the women and celebrating Valentine's Day, the paper reported, and as part of their sentences the men will be banished from their homeland for five years after completing their prison terms.

Google AdSense Conspiracy Theory Angers Online Publishers

An anonymous whistleblower, claiming to be a former Google employee, came out last week and posted a scathing exposé accusing Google of banning hundreds of web publishers from its AdSense advertising system.
The leaker claims that Google underwent a massive AdSense policy change in 2009 because publishers were making too much money.
"We were told to go and look into publishers accounts, and if any publisher had accumulated earnings exceeding $5,000 and was near a payout or in the process of a payout, we were to ban the account right away and reverse the earnings back," he says.
If the accusation is true, it would mean Google has purposefully denied publishers and YouTubers payments earned through advertising and pocketed the earnings for themselves.
Google has flat-out denied the claim.
"This description of our AdSense policy enforcement process is a complete fiction," Google said in a statement. "Our teams and automated systems work around the clock to stop bad actors and protect our publishers, advertisers, and users".
The debate over the validity of the leaker has been raging in online forums, with many users claiming the leaker is simply a disgruntled AdSense publisher. Even Google's Matt Cutts jumped into the fray.

Baby born with two faces,brains in Australia

SYDNEY: An Australian woman has miraculously given birth to conjoined twins with one body and two brains despite doctors initially telling them to terminate the pregnancy.
Renee Young and Simon Howie, of Tregear in Sydney’s west, welcomed their daughters on Thursday six weeks before they were due.
The couple, who found out via an ultrasound that the twins they were expecting was in fact one child with two symmetrical faces and two brains connected by the one brain stem, said doctors were shocked by the girls’ exceptional progress.
‘They are breathing perfectly on their own and feeding,’ Mr Howie told Woman’s Day.
Ms Young gave birth to the girls, named Faith and Hope, via an emergency caesarean at Blacktown Hospital last Thursday.
The girls were born with a rare condition called diprosopus, which means they share the same body and vital organs but have their own faces and brains which are connected by only one brain stem.
‘Even though there is only one body, we call them our twins. To us, they are our girls and we love them,’ Mr Howie said.
They were transferred to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead shortly after they were born.
‘We have no idea how long they will be in hospital. We just want to bring them home, happy and healthy to make our family a little bit bigger and a bit more chaotic,’ Mr Howie said.
The condition is so rare that only 35 cases have ever been recorded and none have survived.
Due to the incredibly complex nature of their condition, doctors are so unsure about what to expect from the twin’s condition that they are being forced to make their prognoses day by day.
